"In the end I think the real work is not finding inspiration, but attuning to it. When I’m not feeling inspired, I know somewhere along the line I’ve been distancing myself from life.
The month of September... Stunning visuals of the majestic mountains, wide, deep rivers and profuse forests of British Columbia. Nature has awoken my senses and warmed me back to life…
We are exploring the greatness of British Columbia during this early autumn month, and are already halfway through the adventure. We crossed the border into Canada in Idaho, after golfing at Old Works in Anaconda, Montana. Hubby and I have golfed several times since, often staying in our trailer on the course parking lot through Harvest Hosts. Amazing accommodations! We spent a day at Quinn’s Hot Springs, perfect spot to contemplate the new fall season coming upon us.
Being in Canada has been a very welcome relief from the toxic American politics. Did I mention we have not seen one police car, highway patrolman or sheriff our ENTIRE trip?????
Summer brought the start of a new painting series, Tender. This trip has been just right to ponder the pieces, and how I’d like to move forward. I am thankful I’ve attuned my art practice to have this gift of being excited to start a new series. I’ll keep you posted!
We arrived in Vancouver today, the air is SO Pacific Northwest coastal! This next phase of the trip will be so welcoming…the coastal water…it always gives solace.
As a working artist/retired art educator, I've always lived the artful life. Let's share!
