Tender

We all have experience with bruises.
Bruised egos, bruised hearts.
Bruised shins and bruised elbows.
They can be tender.

‘Tender’ is life bruises-visualized.
The healing of physical marks, emotional pains conceptualized.
Tender

Rich, buttery creams, yellow ochres, burnished hues of sepias, red violets -the warm palette of this new series.
Picture
Spin
Venetian plaster-roughing up the birch support…Like tears upon the heart.
Layers of a warm acrylic palette provides the transitional outer surface.
Aging metallic leaf turns gold to patina’s dust.
A trout in the watershed ushers in the quiet power and presence of solace.
A silken web provokes introspection, and the sacredness of nature…
Be tender.
Triptych 15”x5”x1.5” 15”x15”

Spin is the
first piece released from the new series ‘Tender’
