2020 WIP ... it’s getting there!
Heaven, Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Lake, Thunder & Mountain. Each trigram is based on connections of all things in nature.The combination of solid and broken lines reflect the movement of energy in life on our Earth. Each trigram lies yin/yang of its opposite. The wood is the end cuts from our raised garden walls.
“Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year.
He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day
who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
This new day is too dear,
with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on the yesterdays.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

"To pick up a rock, is to touch base. Touching stones gives us a primal, spiritual connection with the earth. When we handle a stone, we hold in our hands a small drawing, a tiny piece of the map; we are holding time."
- Sue Lawty
The sum of my autumn mornings meditations… Rocks gathered on a morning stroll, or evening walk , embellished with fabric scraps embroidery thread and gratitude.
