Fun weekend trip to Helena and surrounding area. We spent the first night at a forest service cabin with Caitlin, Austin and grandaughter Millie. It is located only 35 miles from Helena, and it is called Indian Flats cabin. So fun! We explored the mountains the next day, hiking, birdwatching and enjoying the plethora of wildflowers. Made it back to town in time to stop at the Holter Museum. It is always a treat. The Archie Bray had a fellows show up, and a potter from Los Angeles was in the adjoining gallery.
Joe is on the board of the Special K Ranch, working ranch for disabled adults between Park City and Columbus, Montana. We were able to attend the summer picnic by the Yellowstone River on the way up--good timing!. The residents, family, staff and board members were invited. Good eats, good time!

Our second annual Funday Gramday was a blast! We missed Bea, Joan’s granddaughter who is currently in Rome. But Will, Violet, Emmy and Nettie attended their second Funday Gramday. We hope next year the babies Owen and Tommy can hang out with us.
Powerful read. The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment is a book by Eckhart Tolle.
The book is intended to be a guide for day-to-day living and stresses the importance of living in the present moment and transcending thoughts of the past or future. Our present moment brought an art series I hadn’t anticipated... Artwork exploring different ways of meditation, intention and prayer. The piece Celtic Knot/Pagan Prayer was inspired by a poem from the book Celtic Fire by Robert Van de Weyer. This contemporary take on the Celtic knot is my interpretation of the ancient writing. Celtic religion is pagan based, and nature plays a large role in it. I love the thought of nature’s energy being god or god like. It resonates. The Celtic knot represented the intricacies of god’s love to the Celtic people. The beautifully written poem ‘Celtic Fire’ follows the photo gallery below. GOD
I am the wind that breathes upon the sea, I am the wave on the ocean, I am the murmur of the leaves rustling, I am the rays of the sun, I am the beam of the moon and stars, I am the power of trees growing, I am the movement of salmon swimming, I am the courage of the wild boar fighting, I am the speed of the stag running, I am the strength of the ox pulling the plow, I am the size of the mighty oak tree, and I am the thoughts of all people who praise my beauty and grace. -Celtic Fire, Robert Van de Weyer |
