Ongoing 'Eggshell' artpieces. I like the look they are moving towards. I want two outcomes:
•A piece to get 'lost' in; eggshell metaphor •A JOYOUS SPIRIT is how Ben was described by his parents. I'd like the essence of the pieces to be of a joyous spirit. ![]() The artwork continues. I add a layer or two each day. When I get up in the mornings, I really wish I could work on piece for a few hours. Alas, work calls me-but only for 99 days more, then a change. First journeys-so many of them in our lives. Even as we age, we never run out of first journeys, and, aren't the 'former' first journeys beautiful to revisit? ![]() Second week of a dastardly head cold--but I can say I am on the recovery road! YAY! Nyquil, sudafead, steroids....oh yeah. OTC's do help! It's been a couple of tough weeks: Two deaths -one especially difficult. Our close friend's 25 year old son passed away. Our hearts are broken for them. I'm making them an 'eggshell' piece of art. I'm not sure why, but I knew right away that is what I wanted to do. Eggshells have a strong metaphor: pieces of life, birth, 'walking on eggshells', fragility, shattered--many metaphors that I hope our friends can ponder, and possibly heal some from them. |
