Five dogs. Six big people. One one year old. A Bill and Will double header birthday. Snowshoeing. Card games. Food and more food. Mountain cabin. Most of all, love! Yep, total fun!
Last weekend we were barefoot in the Hawaiian sand, this weekend geared up in the Montana snow!
“I can worship Nature, and that fulfills my need for miracles and beauty. Art gives a spiritual depth to existence -- I can find worlds bigger and deeper than my own in music, paintings, and books. And from my friends & family I receive the highest benediction, emotional contact, and personal affirmation. I can bow before the works of Man, from buildings to babies, and that fulfills my need for wonder. I can believe in the sanctity of Life, and that becomes the Revealed Word, to live my life as I believe it should be.....”
― Neil Peart
My husband and I escaped a cold, snowy Northern Winter with two weeks in Kauai, Hawaii this January. I nurtured relationships, art, and nature. Till we met again, Hawaii, aloha.
I have over 500 photos of the trip on my new camera, a Sony a5100. Love it! I need to download an app before I can transfer photos, though, to my phone or desktop computer. Need to get over my jetlag first! The few below were taken with my cellphone. Joe and I flew over the Napali Coast in a helicopter, snorkeled with the turtles, hiked, watched sunsets, beached it. New favorite gallery: Ola We experienced the missle alert goof there. Yikes. Unsettling.
As a working artist/retired art educator, I've always lived the artful life. Let's share!
